NRES Counselor

Hello!  My name is Erin Elswood, the school counselor here at North Riverside Elementary.  I have the joy of working with students through classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and short-term individual counseling.  I also work with parents who may need support and guidance on how to help their child. 

I received my bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, and taught in multiple grade levels, multiple subjects, and at many different types of schools. I received my Masters in Education from Lamar University in Counseling and Development, and this is my 6th year as a school counselor.

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 4 children and a service dog named Mo. I love to be outdoors, go hiking, off roading in my Jeep, riding my motorcycle, and living life to the fullest.
